Quishile Charan

This project started from a place of great pāmamae (pain), born out of my depression and oppression. I’ve never been able to talk so openly about a growing issue: safe places for people of colour. This publication is one step in an on-going project dealing with this issue.

This is for everyone of colour denied their language, for the kids that have to hide in the toilets at lunch ’cause they’re bullied for their culture. This is for my ancestors who sacrificed so much for me to be here today. This is for all Tangata Whenua suffering and displaced from their land. This is a small koha from me to you, for people of colour.

I’m always here for korero (discussion), feel free to contact me at quishilemossop@gmail.com
